Dr. Sonny Rubin leads a team of regenerative medicine specialists, dedicated to reducing chronic pain and providing state of the art regenerative medicine to help the body heal itself naturally.

Dr. Rubin’s medical techniques are geared towards identifying the root or underlying cause of a vast array of spinal or joint disorders. The most commonly identified spinal disorders include herniated discs or inflamed facet joints causing ongoing neck pain or lower back pain which may be combined with arm pain or leg pain known as sciatica. Joint disorders for shoulder pain and knee pain include rotator cuff tears, subacromial bursitis, acromioclaviculitis, and meniscal tears to name a few.
Once identified, the most up to date nonsurgical minimally invasive pain management techniques are performed under live fluoroscopic guidance at our state of the art facility located in Newport Beach, California. This is combined with cutting edge Regenerative Medicine modalities including the administration of Autologous Stem Cell Based Therapies, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), or Natural Medication injections directed into/around the discs or joints spaces while avoiding synthetic medications or surgical interventions that may be detrimental to the human body. This is all implemented in conjunction with either a local anesthetic or twilight sedation to offer a naturally comfortable pain free experience.

The Newport Regenerative Medicine facility is a state-of-the-art facility surgery center and comfortable treatment and recovery rooms. We offer the latest imaging technology to recommend the best treatments for sports injury and chronic pain.
This facility was designed with our valued patients in mind. In most instances, if surgery is needed, it can be done in our in-house surgery & procedure center without the need for hospitalization. Our regenerative medicine procedures do not require hospitalization since we help the body heal itself.

MEET DR. RUBIN

Sonny Rubin M.D. is a double board certified medical doctor. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Rubin has over 20 years of experience, having performed over 6,500 – 7,500 spinal and joint injections to treat patients.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Florida. He then went on to earn his Medical Degree (M.D.) at Saint George’s University School of Medicine, and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Dr. Rubin specialized in Anesthesiology at both USC Medical Center and UCLA Medical Center, and further obtained subspecialty certification in Pain Management. In addition to his practice experience, Dr. Rubin is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Pain Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the International Spine Intervention Society.
As a naturalist/athlete at heart, Dr. Rubin has focused his practice towards regenerative medicine with a multifaceted nonsurgical approach targeting spinal and joint disorders. Traditional western medicine has been fixated on masking one’s pain with narcotics/muscle relaxant medications, or other various synthetic pharmaceutical medications that have numerous unwanted side effects while never identifying the source of pain. With a passion for regenerative medicine, Dr. Rubin is proactive in educating his patients on natural healing methods that are becoming more popular and accessible to individuals looking to maximize their health, energy, and overall well-being.
